Hello Everyone, Welcome to Nica's Notebook!
Nica’s Favourite Things this month.
Infra red blanket - I recommended this to a friend recently and noticed they were offering 25% off at the moment, use the code EASTER23 before April the 11th. When I'm feeling exhausted this is a great pick me up. Ideal for detoxifying as the heat helps to sweat out toxins and I often use it as a booster if I feel like I’m coming down with something.
"The Artist's Way: A course in Discovering and Recovering Your Creative Self” by Julia Cameron. One of the main takeaways from this journal are the morning pages. The idea is to write and offload at least 3 pages of streams of consciousness on to paper in order to relieve you of concerns and allow for some insights and creativity to emerge. This continues to be my go to when I am feeling stressed and overwhelmed. You can find this book on Amazon.
Baths: Either a day time soak which is the height of indulgence on the weekend or at night with a handful of our bath salts or some drops of our bath oil. This is my me time, where I get to escape from the family for a much needed respite. Hello catch up on insta and pinterest!
I was recently introduced to Conscious Working and its amazing founder Gret Batchelor by a mutual friend. Gret, was a former executive in the fashion world suffering from burnout. She decided that she needed to make big changes in her life, she moved to Portugal with her husband and young family and founded Conscious Working, a company created to empower business leaders and busy professionals to incorporate Wellbeing in to their everyday lives and organisations. Gret is now a yoga instructor, meditation facilitator and mindfulness teacher, and leads retreats internationally.
Things to look forward to:
There are a few spots left for Gret's yoga and wellness retreat in beautiful Sintra, Portugal from 28th April - 2nd May. H:A readers receive an exclusive 25% off with code: SPECIALINVITE2023 25%
This is an incredible offer. Book now to get one of the last few places.
